Cladding, repair and additive build-up, programmed offline and verified against your machine.
Directed energy deposition asks more of a CAM system than any other laser process: material is added layer by layer, every pass has to sit on the one below it, and the nozzle has to stay in the right attitude to a surface that is changing while it is being built. netvision LaserTools LMD is built for exactly that.
Planar build slices a shape level by level along a defined axis and fills each level with contour and infill passes. Multi-axis cladding offsets a curve across free-form surfaces while keeping the nozzle normal to the face. Spiral and symmetrical offset builds cover rotationally symmetric parts, thin wall build handles single-bead walls, and dedicated strategies exist for blade and BLISK geometry. The part decides the strategy, not the other way round.
Offsets are calculated along the surface itself, not through space, so the stepover stays constant where it matters. The number of passes is either derived automatically from the selected faces or defined explicitly; stepover, boundary offset, initial surface offset, path extension and cavity trimming control how far the coating reaches. Machining order runs to or from the contour and can alternate per layer, so the build does not always start on the same side.
The programmed build-up is shown as real geometry on the model: each move generates the volume it deposits, layer by layer, so gaps, overlaps and unreachable corners become visible at the programming station. The result is available as a mesh and can be carried on into the next operation.
Machine kinematics, deposition head, fixtures and clamping are part of the programming environment, and pre-computed collision data keeps the check fast even on long multi-layer programs. Tilt angles and angular limits keep the nozzle attitude inside what the machine can reach. Technology data is held per fill strategy and per layer, and post processors for Sinumerik, Trumpf TruLaser Cell and robot controls deliver code that runs.

netvision LaserTools LMD programs directed energy deposition from the CAD model: planar layer build, multi-axis cladding on free-form surfaces, spiral and rotationally symmetric builds, thin walls and blade geometry. Offsets are calculated along the surface itself, the build-up is shown as real geometry before the first bead, and every program is verified against the digital twin of the machine.
